If you encounter an error message that says "Your connection needs to be verified" while attempting to access your Shopify store using your home WiFi, it suggests the possibility of a network problem or an issue with authentication. To address this, you can follow these troubleshooting steps.
* Stored cache or cookies can sometimes cause conflicts. Try clearing the cache and cookies in your browser's settings. If you're unsure how to do this, you can search online for instructions specific to your browser.
* Some browser extensions or add-ons can interfere with website access. Temporarily disable any extensions you have installed and try accessing your Shopify store again.
* Ensure that your home WiFi network does not have any specific restrictions or filters in place that could be blocking access to the Shopify store. Check your router settings or contact your internet service provider (ISP) for assistance with network configuration.
* Sometimes, restarting your device can resolve temporary network issues. Power off your device, wait a few seconds, and then power it back on before attempting to access your Shopify store again.
* If you're encountering the error message on one browser, try accessing your Shopify store using a different browser. This can help determine if the issue is specific to the browser you're using.
* Outdated browser versions can sometimes have compatibility issues with certain websites. Ensure that you have the latest version of your browser installed and try accessing your Shopify store again.
* If you're using a VPN or proxy service, try disabling it temporarily to see if it resolves the issue. VPNs and proxies can sometimes interfere with website access.
* If you suspect that your ISP might be blocking access to the Shopify store, reach out to their customer support and explain the issue. They can provide insights and help troubleshoot the problem.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's recommended to reach out to Shopify's support team directly. They have specialized knowledge and can assist you in diagnosing and resolving any issues specific to your Shopify store or account.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Gina
That is ridiculous! Noone should have to go through those steps at all when it is only on Shopify and not ever on the hundreds of websites I visit in the course of a week.
