Can't translate email notifications anymore

Hello,

Our client's site uses custom email notifications that are sent in the 2 languages (EN and FR) used on the shop.

Notifications in both languages were using custom code and wording,
and we could edit one or the other in the Shopify backend
(either through native controls or through the LangShop app we use).

However since quite recently, we can't edit the secondary language anymore, only the primary one.
"Edit code" leads to the primary language (EN), and content and code can be edited there.
But there is no way to edit the secondary language (FR).

Using the preview language switch does make it possible to preview the secondary language but there is no more way to edit it.

Was there a recent Shopify change that would explain that such a feature disappeared?

It seems another translation App (WeGlot) has published an article dated from Dec 20, 2022 that advises to uses a liquid switch inside the body of an email to translate it in multiple language, maybe that's related: https://support.weglot.com/article/89-shopify-translate-shopify-email-notifications

Hi @bbs-AnGr - yes some things have been moved, but all should still be possible. We have moved the language selector from notifications that let you edit different languages and put the functionality in the Translate & Adapt app, so that translation is consistent across admin. 3P apps like LangShop should be unaffected. Weglot is different as it does not use the Shopify Translations API. Can you confirm via screenshots or with the app developer that LangShop is not showing notification translations? This should work no problem and we can talk to them if not.
