Can't upload lookbook pictures to online store - is there a size limit?

Hi, iven been trying to upload a folder of my lookbook pictures (downsized to less than 20MB per pic) to shopify files section but i keep getting the same service error that reads that my files are too large? 

reading about the matter i saw that the picture needs to fit a limit frame of 4472 x 4472 px which means itll square the images i have now (portrait ratio not square) is it possible that shopify doesnt except none rectangle pitures? 

would love to get help on the matter.
