I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't find the answer. Is it possible to change the country code that Shopify assigns to all its Product Item Id's. I am trying to run dynamic remarketing for a company based in South Africa. In my google merchant center feed all the item id's start with shopify_ZA_. But in Shopify they are assigned shopify_US_. The two codes don't match up and they won't work properly. I am wondering if there is an accessible place in the code to change the country code from US to ZA.
Thanks
You need to update the remarketing tag to be shopify_ZA
Here is a working remarketing tag: https://feedarmy.com/kb/adding-google-adwords-remarketing-tag-to-shopify/
There is nowhere in the theme.liquid with that bit of code showing <-- CODE SETTINGS START--> <-- CODE SETTINGS END--> or any of that code in between for that matter. Any clue on where that Remarketing tag code would reside?
It can change from user to user even with the same theme. So I would not know. Without physically seeing your account.

Did you find a solution to this? I am facing a similar issue, but in my case, the country code shows "_ZZ_"
As with the other post you replied to, there is no need to change the ID, as there are no negatives, the ID can be anything, there are no rules.
In terms of ID structure.
