Hi! I'm trying to use the simple instructions of resetting my customer's email address. But when I click "customer/customer name and get to their info, there IS NO reset password link next to their name (or anywhere else).
The customer has placed orders with me and has a customer information page, however it does say they do not have an account (which to me is very strange since they clearly do?)
Can someone help me with this? Thanks!

Based on what you've shared, it sounds like your customer doesn't yet have an account - which would explain why you're not seeing the option to reset their password.
By default, customer accounts will be optional unless you choose to require them. Going forward, if your customer is interested in having an account they can log in to, you'll first want to visit their customer profile in your admin and select Send account invite (shown below).
If you ever wish to make customer accounts a requirement, you can adjust this setting found on the page Settings > Checkout.
