Cannot Fix Google Indexing Problems

Dear Shopify Gurus & Community:

Over the past several weeks, I have been receiving several error messages from Google, primarily Page Indexing issues, which I don’t understand and have not been able to fix.

Errors include for example:

* Duplicate without user-selected canonical

* Crawled - currently not indexed

* Indexed, though blocked by robots.txt'

When I click on the option to validate/fix, it results in ‘failed’ results.

Online advice suggests altering code or entering some new code, along with a lot of non-layman tech speak.

I’m simply an end user and wouldn’t know how to alter code, nor do I understand what has caused all of these new changes/errors, and my listings no longer display in Google Shopping.

I am using the Minimal template on Shopify and sell OOAK vintage items (no duplicates).

I appreciate any insight. Thanks so much.

Usually those kind of errors are harmless on Shopify. But it's hard to know for sure without looking pretty deep and adding context.

Can you give examples and screenshots?

Duplicates is a technical term with a meaning relating to pages with the same title. Even though you have 1-off-products you could still easily have 'duplicate pages' a few different ways.

Before attempting to fix, you should figure out why you need to fix and if you should.

Hello KieranK:

Thank you for your reply and assistance.

I've taken two screen shots and have attached them below.

Receiving 6 warnings from Google for "New Reasons Prevent Pages from Being Indexed" all at once, is alarming -- as is receiving another 6 notices of failure when I step through their instructions for fixing the issues, but without success.

As a result, my products no longer appear in Google Shopping, and sales have come to a standstill.

I appreciate all of your help and any advice on the best ways to proceed.

For some reason, the image files aren't uploading.  The notice says that .JPG is not supported -- only CSV and Flow.
