Change the quantity of a line item with the quantity of another line item

I have my product page set up so that the user can add multiple variants to the cart at the same time, as well as upload a logo and some other customization options. One of the options is to add a second logo, which adds $5 to the price of the product. Because you can't change the price of the product with a property, I created a product for this purpose that is added to the cart with each selected variant. The product has a property with the correlating variant id. All of this is working fine.

Where I'm running into issues is, in the cart, how do I link the $5 product with the correlating variant so that when the quantity is updated on the variant it also updates the quantity of the $5 product?
