Change whole website color background (taste theme) once

I want to change the entire website background color, for my main page I can only do it by sections and there is a.  gap in between from the previous color. How can I fix this??? 

I go to theme customize, theme settings, colors, and select one scheme and nothing happens. so I go to main page and only able to select one section at a time to change color. 

Mygoal is to make it all pink for valentines and not have that gap in between that is bluish.

it was a matter of updating the theme, then it did it itself.
