Changing a drop down to an image slider on product page

Hello,

I wanted to change this dropdown where you can select the colour of the product to a more modern design where you can see the colours.

This is what I have now 

and this is what I am hoping to get for the 'metal color' section

Welcome to Shopify Community.

This is possible and bit complicated as it needs changes with liquid and JS. 

Thus it needs code changes. Highly recommend to consult a developer to help you with this.
