changing social media icon size

trying to increase the size of my social media icons for the Dawn theme. tried coding in theme settings but no luck.

1. Go to Online Store->Theme->Edit code
2. Asset->/component-list-social.css ->paste below code at the bottom of the file.

.list-social__item .icon {
    height: 2.8rem;
    width: 2.8rem;
}
