Changing text color ONLY IN HEADER, not announcement bar

I am using the theme "Dawn" on Shopify, and for some reason, I am only allowed 1 color font for literally the entire store. So annoying. I have tried multiple code tutorials on youtube and Shopify and nothing is working. I simply want to have white text on my announcement bar, and black text on my header. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to do this?
