Changing the destination of the "Continue Shopping" link on my cart

I have the Debut theme and currently there is a "Continue shopping" link at the top of the Cart page. It links back to all of my products, but I would like it to link back to the collection that the customer was just on before accessing the cart page. I have tried following coding instructions but it didn't work.
