customers have been complaining how they’re not able to place orders bec a page saying “there was a problem with our checkout” pops up, pls help so I can fix it ASAP, losing customers

Still happening here! I contacted Shopify twice last week twice and haven't received a reply yet. The agents were not aware of the issue which is beyond my understanding. The issue was raised for more than a week and no solutions yet

Nope, our web traffic is down too. It seems whenever there's a customer that is affected it duplicates the checkout in customer behaviour x 6 as well.. Shopify have ignored all my complaints and are saying there's no issue. We will be changing over to WooCommerce today, it's cost us way too much
Seems to be affecting a lot of stores.
from what I can gather, it’s only displaying for customers using older versions of Safari (both iOS and Mac) I’ve contacted Shopify twice and they’ve just told me to tell the customer to change browsers. Not helpful at all, especially when most customers don’t contact you about it.
Worst part is, you can’t update the language on this page either. Would love to know when there’s a fix
It's horrible. This would make sense as I can't edit our store on safari anymore, it just never loads the theme editor.
We are having the same issue. We had the first client complaint 4 days ago!

The worst part is the fact Shopify keep saying there's no issues, so it seems like there won't be a resolution.
Didnt realise Android was affected too. Haven't had any customers on my end reporting this.
Looks like the issue has been resolved for me on OSX - can't replicate it any more.
So out 40 people that contacted, one was from Android.

Another one here, reached out to support multiple times and have been advised to give troubleshooting info to customers. I've had our store added to the ticket regarding this checkout issue, but they said it needs enough stores adding before they look at it, so everyone needs to report this to them to get this raised as quick as possible.
Anybody found a solution on their end?

I just wanted to point out that we are facing the same issue.
Our dropoff from checkout to conversion has doubled! since september.
This is really frustrating to be honest, we are powerless at this point.
We have contacted support and the tech team is looking into this problem.
I hope this will be solved soon for everyone.

Incredibly frustrating given this is shopify's _one job_.
Asking customers to 'just try with google chrome' is ridiculous and lazy. You are either a web platform or a google app. Pick one.
