Hello,

 

I had purchased an Acer Chromebook from FB Marketplace which is currently device lock by shopify[dot] com.  I do not know where the seller got it and I was too eager to ask the model and why it was locked.  Upon receiving the chromebook, I could not unlock due to device policy. Every time I try to reset it, it comes back to the device locked screen.

 

I hope someone could connect me to the admin that manages the chromebooks.

 

I do wish the shopify admin could help me as I have purchased the chromebook without knowing that it was locked.

Unfortunately, if the Chromebook is locked under a device policy managed by shopify.com, it likely means it was enrolled as part of a corporate or enterprise device fleet. In such cases, only the original administrator or organization that enrolled the device can remove it from management.

As Shopify does not provide device unlocking support for devices purchased through third-party or unofficial channels (such as Facebook Marketplace), we are unable to assist in unlocking the device. We recommend contacting the seller directly for a refund or further clarification, as selling locked enterprise devices may be against platform policies.
