I've enjoyed using the new `collection_list` input type. The blog post announcing this new type says:
> [it allows] merchants to quickly create curated, ordered and paginatable lists of [...] collections.
And merchants are able to drag and drop the list of collections to customize the list order. Both developers and merchants expect the chosen order to always be requested.
However, what I'm finding is that in practice, it occasionally moves the currently-viewed collection to the top of the list of collections.
This issue can be demonstrated by following these steps:
1) go https://vspconsignment.com/collections/women on a desktop view
2) expand the "Collections" item in the sidebar
3) Click between collections in this group, sometimes it works consistently as expected, but after a while it always seems to incorrectly sort the items
There is a video of this attached
Has anyone else seen this? Is there any way to file a bug with Shopify? I checked out the Dawn theme hoping that it used collection_list so that I could repro it there and open an issue on the Dawn repo, however the theme doesn't yet use collection_list.
Same behavior happens to me, did you figure out how to keep the collection order?

Hi Imogen, sadly we already did that, the "Plus Front End Development team" opened a ticket nearly a year ago (ticket number 37959596). They confirmed it was an issue but were unable to to provide any timeline on fix.
As you can see, other people are reporting this, and surely customers are experiencing a detrimental shopping experience. Perhaps you can provide that feedback internally to help push the ticket along.
I have this exact same issue on two sites. It's doesn't happen consistently but occasionally the collections order jumps around putting the current one first. Did you ever find a work around?
Over a year later and this is still an issue. Wild.
