Combine stock quantities with multiple variants

I am hoping you may be able to help answer my question

 have products that have options for personalisation and i am wanting to have the same inventory amount across all variants and for it to change when one variant gets sold

Currently i have stock amounts randomly added in but i need it to be accurate to show the amount of stock i actually have.

is there a way to update this

Example

Not Personalised -  Availabe

Personalise option 1 - 5 available

personalise option 2 - 5 available

This makes it seem like there is 5 of this available but infact i only have 5 of this item available but the option to personalise in different ways.
