Every day around noon, our logistics partner receives an email with a list of Shopify orders from the past 24 hours. We’ve recently set up ‘Fulfilment by TikTok,’ and our logistics partner doesn’t need to be notified about these orders. How can we modify the daily email to exclude them? When I contacted Shopify they suggested customising the email template to exclude orders from TikTok by adding a condition in the Liquid code to filter them out. I have no idea how to do this 😳
Are you using Flow to send the list of orders to your logistics partner?
Hi Paul
No, they receive a .csv file with all the day's orders.
Hi Davis 👋
This csv, do you export it yourself manually then send it to them? or do you have an automated process that takes all of today's orders and automatically send it to them?
Hi Paul
As far as I'm aware a .csv file is automatically sent to our distribution centre from Shopify.
It looks like an 'Easy Report' is being created and emailed to the distribution centre.
What I need is a way of deleting from the report anything with the tag 'fulfilled by TikTok' before it gets sent out.
I think this is what Shopify Support meant. Check in your Settings, then Notifications, then Fulfillment Request Notification. From there you can edit the Liquid code that controls the email that gets sent to them and hopefully remove the 'Fulfilled by TikTok' orders.
That's the problem, I have no idea of how to edit the Liquid code 😳
Oh, that's unfortunate. I think you should find first what/where this is controlled. Shopify Support wasn't really helpful, and, in the settings, it says that the fulfillment provider will still receive a notification (doesn't matter if it's TikTok) if the order is marked fulfilled. So even if you change the code there, your fulfillment provider will still get a notification.
From my experience with Liquid, Liquid does not control the settings to who gets sent a notification. It only controls what gets sent to the receiver. Kinda like your storefront. Liquid cannot control who gets to view your store, it can only control what gets displayed to the visitor.
If it's Easy Reports, try checking your apps. Then they might be able to help with filtering the order list csv.
