Connection to Site Insecure / Re-Directing

Hi there,

I am hoping someone can offer some assistance.

I recently changed the DNS setting to include a Web mail provider. Required an MX record and an A record to be added (which I've done before without issue).

Propagation occurred and the site went down as insecure due to a certificate issue (the web address).

24 hours later and the site is back up but not across the world. So for example, it can be viewed in India and America but then New Zealand it's down. Of particular interest is that in New Zealand when you go through the URL it re-directs to the web mail admin portal.

Anyone encounter this before and know how to fix it?

I have made numerous attempts via the built in Shopify support but am going around in circles.

Dan

To resolve this, the person should double-check the current DNS records in their domain registrar's dashboard (like GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.).

After confirming the correct setup, they should flush DNS and wait up to 48 hours for complete propagation globally. Meanwhile, Shopify’s SSL will automatically renew once the DNS is correctly resolved again. If that doesn’t happen, Shopify support can reissue the SSL certificate but only after the DNS is correct.

Hi there,

All working now. There was possibly an issue with the MX information that had been provided to me by the email host.

That coupled with propagation seemed to cause the issue.

Email forward is correct now and functioning as it should and all pages at the store are live.

Thanks all 🙂
