Contact form not sending emails

I have the Shopify contact form on my site, and I am not receiving emails from it. All notifications sent to customers are coming from the email address that I have set as the sender email address. Isn't that the email address where the form is supposed to send the message from the contact form?

The email address I am using is an alias. Could that be the reason I'm not receiving the messages?
