Contact from validation issue

I'm facing weird issue with my contact form. I was testing the validation for my contact form fields and came to realize that the validation doesn't work on the first page load.
What I mean by this is when I enter an incorrect email address in the form e.g. test@gmail (without .com) and click submit, then the form doesn't get submitted and redirects back to the form page but doesn't display any errors but once I reload the page, it starts displaying the errors. May be because of the query params.

I'm also unable to turn off the challenge page but this is of secondary concern.

Has anyone of you ever faced such an issue?
