Cookie's Problem

I was wondering what is the login duration for normal customers because some people say that it is 1 day and some say it is 1 year. In the shopify cookie policy, there is a cookie named secure_customer_sig and according to that token the login duration is 1 year. Can you help us understand what is the login duration for everyday customers?

Note: We are testing these in trial versions. Will this problem occur in the themes we will buy?
