copying a code from my old theme to my updated version

I had a Shopify Expert help me with my store speed a few months ago. A couple of months ago the speed slowed down again. I was happy with their work before so I reached out again. I was told that after they worked on it, as I updated my theme version, the code was left behind. I was online with Shopify Support today and the rep suggested I contact you guys, as there may be a way to retrieve my code from my previous version to add to my copy of the new version before I publish it. If I can learn the trick I'll be able to save myself money and time every time I update and have to use the Experts again. Please advise, than

Do you old theme in your themes section?  You can check here

1. Go to Shopify Admin: Navigate to your Shopify admin dashboard.
2. Themes Section: Go to Online Store - Themes.
3. Old Theme: Locate the older version of your theme where the speed optimizations were done.

If you have old theme then please let me know i will guide what to do next
