Create an index / home page that contains a collection with filter

Hi,

I know that Shopify only supports the main collection on /the collection page.

However, I want to show collections (with filters) on the home page.

The only possible way is to duplicate the collection page, make it a template, and then assign it to an index page.

Is this the right approach?
