Crop in-built feature not working

Hi. When I use the crop feature, the one actually built into shopify:

 It no longer works. It lets me crop the image, press apply and then save but it doesn't show up on my actual page. I have tried with multiple images and tried multiple times but nothing. It never used to do this and I used to use this feature loads but it just randomly stopped working this evening. I have tried clearing up some space by deleting some files and pictures etc, closing and reopening shopify but nothing seems to work.
