Customer Events // Is the data Server Side?

Hey, 

Hoping someone has some thought on this. 

I am looking at Customer Events // Custom Pixel (https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/promoting-marketing/pixels/overview) and looking at the schema (https://shopify.dev/docs/api/pixels/customer-events) and wondering if this is sourcing the objects server side? 

I am wondering, as i would like to deploying a custom CAPI the scroll depth and other functions on the to marketing channels, and cant seem to find any infomration on source of the data.
