Customers who have gmail do not receive emails. I mention that the mail is supplied by the host I work with for the domain, it is third-party. What should I do? Thanks

Hey, @fed15

Are you referring to order notification emails that are sent out from Shopify are not landing in your customers gmail inboxes? Or are you using an email marketing app to send out marketing emails, and these are the ones that aren't landing?

Any further context would be great!

We are having issues with all order notifications, shipped notifications etc sent out via our shoddy store not landing in any customer inboxes if they have a gmail address. All other emails are receiving their notifications.
I have been speaking to shoipfy support for the past 2 and h lag weeks trying to solve the issue with not resolution.
They tell me is because gmail are saying our email domain has a poor sending reputation. I have since gone on post master and provided the shopify team with proof that our bounce rate is less than 0.1, and that the postmaster report shows we have a high sender reputation.

We are able to send emails directly from our email domain to gmail address as we are able to send with our mail chimp mailer without issues.

Our email providers have said that when they look at our records DNS records there appear to be some missing compared to another company they support who uses shopify.
When we were authenticating the domain via shopify we had issues and I kept asking if the records shopify provided were correct to which they kept saying yes. It took 2 weeks of constant trying to finally get it authenticated. But it is my belief that something wasn’t correct and that it that’s why gmail are blocking the emails sent direct from shopify.

I have gone round the houses and back with the shopify support and so disappointed with the lack of support to resolve the issue. The last correspondence I had I was told to contact gmail. This was not an acceptable response as the issue lies with shopify we can send email directly with no issues and the support team now as well as I do that will never get a response from gmail.

same. Shopify emails to Gmail specifically bad. emails from our domain to customers work fine, but the automated notifications to same address either dont get through or get flagged as spam (alot). hurts your reputation as customers have made expensive outlay and then appear not have any verification of sale, shipping, etc. Shopify got us to to do the DMARC authentication but it hasnt changed anything.

Im thinking I will have to check each customer's email address and notify separately to Gmail accounts

I been having this same issue with shipping notification emails being blocked by to all customers that have Gmail email (which is the most common email service used).. I put in a few tickets last year but no one in Shopify support has fixed it.. When will Shopify fix this email issue with Gmail?
