Dawn Theme - Does anyone know how to turn off the auto selector on products?

Currently as soon as I click on a certain product page, it automatically chooses a variant.

My issue is I my first photo on my product is different from the variant that gets auto-selected and I want to keep my first photo on the product until a customer manually chooses their variant.

If anyone knows how to do this please let me know.

I am using dawn theme.
