Dawn Theme - Number of items show in collections

Hey guys! On our brand new Spacejunkie webshop
we've tried the suggested way discussed here, but it does not change the number of products shown within collections. To test is we lowered the number to 5 and the platform didn't apply these changes either. I've waited about 5-10 minutes, does it take longer the changes to apply?
What is the max. number of product collections could be shown? Also when we had the 'View all' button, it didn't seem to work, that's why we choose the show as many products as possible option.

Thanks for coming back to me so quick! 
We are creating our webshop right now using Dawn theme, please take a look. We created a few collections (men, women, etc.) and we realized the number of products shown in every collection category is limited. I found this great conversation, I even tried to change the valued in but no success. So our question is that how can we set higher values to each and every collections, let's say showing 50 products in every collection category? It seems like it is feasable, but didn't work for us for some reasons. This is the actual recommendation. We tried to set the max. number of products to 5, but it didn't limit them at all. So my conclusion was that it won't work if I set max. number of products to let's say 50.

Also whilst we talk, is there any way to organize products within a collection the way we want it, instead of the order of when it was uploaded?

@Spacejunkie , I have checked and I am able to show up to 50 products using the feature collection settings schema. And it's working fine.

And relation to your other question,

Yeah, that is possible to display products in a particular collection as per your taste.

follow these steps:

go to your collection in which you manually set the order of the product. And scroll down to the list of the product. and select the 'Manually' option from the sort dropdown. Please check the attached screenshot.

I have changed the range to 50, i any troubles occur I'll let you know. Not sure how to test it apart from keep uploading products and to see if troubles come up in the process. Do you have any idea how to test it?
