Dawn theme Product grid images way too big

The item images on the collection products grid are very big and I cant find a solution to make them a reasonable size. I have tried resizing the images, but that only makes them more pixelated. I have tried several solutions and havent found anything that works.

I have tried other solutions that edit the base.css and was able to make the images smaller, but then the padding below is still just as big.
