I've just put together a store using Dawn with 113 products that I've imported from an existing Prestashop site.
This isn't my first rodeo, I've been building Shopify stores for clients for 12 years, but this is the first time I've come across this particular issue.
The first thing that the client tried was searching for a product by part of the SKU. The SKU is in the body copy and used for each variant, but because the standard Shopify search only searches on these fields (actually on reading this again, if the sku is in the variant title why isn't it showing?
The default fields searched on are title, product_type, variants.title, and vendor. For the best search experience, you should search on the default field set.

I spoke with a support advisor who told me that I'd break anything if I tried to make any changes and suggested adding the search queries into product boosts which isn't ideal as then I would have to add all the keywords from my body copy into boosts on every single product.
Is there a way to edit the query used by the default Shopify search in Dawn to include the product body copy, if not, is there a free app (I'm all for paying developers, but would like to do it myself or for free rather than a $20+USD a month app with 70 features I don't need)
Any help would be greatly appreciate as I feel I have come across my first "no we don't include that seemingly normal feature out of the box, but here is an expensive paid app to give you that functionality".
