Hi guys,

My website is www.meridianetch.com.au.

I have the Infinite Options app and have been using it with no issue for a fair while now. All of a sudden 2 weeks ago my website started to have an issue (almost daily but not with every order) where a customer would add a product to cart but the actual product wouldn't appear in the cart, only the 'add-on' options generated from the Infinite Options app (these are like an extra $10 if they want their product personalised with their name, it would add the $10 to cart but not the $34.95 for the actual product). So when a custom complains about this I have been getting them to just check out with what they have and then I edit the order to add the actual product and they then pay the difference.

I contacted Infinite Options but they cannot work it out.

I contacted Shopify and they said Infinite Options should fix it because their app should work properly (it was but it started doing this all of a sudden).

Out of desperation I also contacted the Impule theme developers who have been kind enough to spend the time trying to work it out too. They have suggested it might be that the Infinite Options app cannot work properly with the drawer cart. I told Infinite Options this but I'm still waiting for any kind of response/solution. I feel like I'm in their too hard basket now 😞

The theme developer suggested I switched from the drawer cart to a cart page but some custom coding I have at the checkout (to work out where people found me and also to make sure they agree to my terms and conditions) is causing the checkout button to not work on the cart page. So I've contacted the developer of that code and asked how to fix it so the checkout button can work.

So if he fixes the code so the checkout button can work so I can use the cart page instead of the drawer cart, then HOPEFULLY the theme people are right and this resolves the Infinite Options issue whereby products aren't being added to cart.

 

If you have read this far, THANK YOU and do you have any suggestions, ideas, thoughts, advice? I am getting desperate and don't know what to do. It looks like I might have to (again) find another app to replace Infinite Options which I was hoping to avoid.

 

Any advice on what might be the issue or how to resolve it etc would be so greatly appreciated!!!

The issue mostly or only happens with the Santa sacks, I assume because that is the most popular product at the moment so I am unsure if it happens with other products. It doesn't happen 100% of the time either so sometimes you might test it yourself and it doesn't happen but it does almost daily.

Yes @Caneleo1234 ,

 

For now, it’s working fine for me.

First, back up the live theme, and then follow the instructions for the non-live theme.

If issues arise because of the app, I recommend reaching out to the app team. Ask them about any snippet code or modifications they’ve directly injected into the theme code. Remove that code and set up the app again.

I believe this approach can help, as sometimes, when the app is updated or changes are made, the existing code may cause issues.
