Disable Shopify Chat widget/script on mobile

I'm working on optimizing the speed of my site, now that I have moved it over to Shopify.

I like a lot of the features I have available, but my page loads slowly (~40 on Google PageSpeed Insights) on mobile.

Does anyone know how I could customize my site so that the Shopify chat widget loads on Desktop browsers, but not on Mobile?

Bonus question: Does anyone else using the new Dawn theme notice that their page load scores are much much worse on Mobile than on Desktop, and if so what culprits have you found and how did you resolve them?

I found an app called TinyIMG that can disable apps/scripts by page, but their support says they would need Shopify to provide access to enable/disable apps specifically on mobile vs. desktop.

Did you ever find an answer to this? Shopify said we would probably need to hire a coder to disable for Mobile but that's what I want as well. Really like it for desktop but clutters mobile.
