Does anyone know what happened to the "Disable Redirection" option under Settings > Domains?
We have used it in a couple of sites before to personalize the experience based on the domain you are browsing from, and the setting seems to be still doing what it's supposed to, but it disappeared from the screen somewhere in the last week.
I reached out to customer support and I don't think they knew what I was talking about and they escalated. I'm curious to see if other people have used this option (or are planning to use it) and now it's apparently gone.
For reference here's how you accessed that before...
and here is how it looks now...
Same issue, is anyone can help ?
Same issue here as well, bought a domain unrelated to my store for future plans and it auto redirected to the primary domain. Hope there's a solution to this.
Hi ! Have you find the solution ?
Never thought I'd see the day when Shopify starts removing essential functionality. Agencies build websites based off a core understanding of the platform and it's capabilities, hundreds of thousands of dollars can be spent developing a website for a client based off years of experience with the platform, for this functionality to be all of a sudden removed is absolutely astonishing.
The competitive advantage of Shopify completely disappears when it can't be trusted by agencies or developers to keep the functionality that it had when development or ideation began.
For a website build that has gone through a discovery phase, design, wireframing, order flow, scope, cost, development estimates. To then get into the development phase and no longer have that functionality available is a huge liability and risk to any agency or developer.
This functionality needs to be brought back asap, it's a huge oversight that this was ever removed.
Any functionality brought to any plan needs to be permanent, it's the entire point of using Shopify over something like Magento, how can anyone confidently pitch Shopify now knowing that they could get $50,000 into design, ideation, scope, and then get to development and it not be suitable anymore.
I'm Shopify's biggest fan, but this is a huge mistake that needs to be resolved.
