DNS records

Hi,

I am redoing my website in the other server. They created me an test address that I can use. 

They told me to write following record to my domain. 

name: xxxxxx.com
TTL: 3600
Type: A
Record: xx.xxx.xxxx.xx

I went to shopify and domain settings. Then Add custom record and A record. Then I filled in name and points to  with the information I got from the other server. 

It is not working. How long it normally takes that it starts to work or have I made something wrong?

If you edit your DNS records, all updates will reflect after 48 hours. If it did not work after 48 hours, kindly reach out to your domain provider so, they can further check your domain settings.
