Liquid, JavaScript, themes, sales channels
Hi All,
My client has a website and webstore built on the Shopify platform.
I have created a virtual store for them on a another platform, and went to to embed their products inside their virtual store.
Do Shopify stores support being used in an iframe on a third party website?
At the moment if I try to embed the URL, when I open the iframe in the virtual store it says permission is not granted to open the link.
There was a reply to this post several weeks ago, which has now been deleted - does anyone know why that has happened? Is there a new process for changing these settings?
Disable X-Frame-Options: In the Shopify admin, go to "Online Store" > "Preferences" and make sure that the "Enable X-Frame-Options protection" option is unchecked. This allows the store to be displayed within an iframe on other websites.
CORS Headers: The website where you want to embed the Shopify store should have appropriate Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) headers in place. These headers allow the Shopify store to be embedded by granting permission to access the content from another domain. You may need to configure the CORS settings on the server hosting the virtual store.
HTTPS: Ensure that both the Shopify store and the website embedding it are using HTTPS. Browsers often restrict loading insecure (HTTP) content within an iframe on a secure (HTTPS) website.
