We sell glasses online. Some of our customers are getting declines if they use an FSA or HSA card at checkout. Does Shopify Payments accept these types of cards? If so, is there a special setting we need to use in order to allow our site to accept these forms a payment?

Yes, you can accept HSA and FSA cards through Shopify Payments but this needs to be enabled by our authenticated support team. They will need to submit your updated Merchant Category Code with our payment partners.
There are some important things to note when enabling this:

I have attached a report showing 3 months of sales. Please note that we have 99.5% are all considered medical sales. The other categories are Accessories.
Categories listed as Ladies, Mens, Unisex, Lens Enhancements are considered medical devices under our Medical Device Distributor License.
Please let me know if this will satisfy the requirements to start receiving HSA / FSA credit cards.

Thank you Susan for so quickly sharing that document. Unfortunately, our forum support is not able to authenticate merchant accounts so I won't be able to make that change for you.
You will need to reach out to our live support channels through the Help Center or reply back to your most recent billing email to request that this change be escalated.

Is this still the case? I can't seem to get through the auto chat bot to a human to get this process going.
If you are connected to our AI Chat in the Help Center just let it know what your issue is and then use the "I still need help" option or type "Contact Support" into the chat. Follow the prompts to get connected. If you are experiencing any issues please share a screenshot of what you are seeing.
