Does the 1000 variant upload limit apply to manual entries?

The limit of 1,000 variants per day for uploading variants via the API, which applies to Shopify shops that have already reached 50,000 variants, refers specifically to the import of variants via apps that use the Shopify API. This limit therefore applies to actions that are carried out via the API with external tools or apps.

Does this also apply to adding variants directly via the Shopify admin area, for example by entering them manually or importing them via a CSV file?

I did ask the official Shopify Support (Chat) and they did release the limit for 1 week.
