Hello Shopify Community,
I have a question regarding domain settings.
Is it possible to switch from www.******.com to *****.com without disrupting our webstore?
The reason behind this change is that it seems Google is having difficulty finding our shop. It looks like our original domain is *****.com, but our primary Shopify domain is set to www.******.com, which currently redirects users. Google may have a problem with that.
Thank you for your assistance!
Best regards,
In that image, you choose set yourstore.com (without www) as the primary domain if it’s not already. And then, Shopify will automatically redirect all www traffic to the non-www version. It won't affect SEO or functionality, and your store will remain accessible from both URLs.
Ah, if you're using third-party hosting, ensure your DNS settings have the correct A record and CNAME pointing to Shopify.
