Domain Transfer to Shopify Website unavailable.

Hello,

I initiated a domain transfer from a 3rd party to Shopify. The status is "Setup in Progress" and my website is unavailable. Shouldn't I and any customers be able to access the website while this process takes place? And how long will it take?
