Drop down menu collections not connecting to actual inventory count

Can somebody please help? My drop-down menu for my shop shows the various collections available but when you click on one of the collections it says there's no product available even though there is plenty of product in the system.

If you navigate using the homepage and click the call to action button- there is no problem with the inventory. The collection is fully shoppable.

There seems the problem with the link between the drop-down menu and the inventory. Does anybody know how to fix this. I think you so much and advance.

Hi Sandy:)

Thank you for answering here. I apologize I forgot to add the URL.

www.emergingheroes.com

I tried for hours to link the collection but somehow I can only loop it back to the home screen page for now...

I had the site made for me in 2017 and updating it myself is very clunky. Even on the footer page, there is a problem when I click the SHOP icon- it goes to a still page of not much. LOL

I appreciate your helping out!

Hope you are having a great day.

Kindly,

Tinks

@Tinks72 There could be a few reasons if your products are not showing on the collection page.

1. Make sure all products are assigned to specific collection.

2. Make sure all products are assigned to Shop All.

3. Check the product status it must be in Active Status and Sales Channel Online Store must be ticked.

For the Footer link please go to the Online Store > Navigation > select footer menu > change the link of Shop to this /collections/all For reference see below screenshot

Hi @Tinks72

If the products are appearing in the right sections on your home page, but not in your menu items, I wonder if you've linked the correct collection to the correct menu item? Or are you using a third-party menu app that could be affecting the way information is displayed? What theme are you using?

It would also help if you linked your store for context too!

Also, the site says it is 40% slower than other similar stores. Not sure if that is a theme problem or if the whole site needs an update.

I appreciate your helping out!

Thanks for the additional context! If you had the site made for you by a third party and you don't feel you have the control over it that you need, you may need to consider updating the store yourself.

You see, if it is a third-party theme or the code has been edited, it falls outside the scope of our Support. And given that your menu items aren't working properly, and your site is 40% slower, it almost certainly sounds like there is either broken code or extra javascript being injected into your page.

Updating your site doesn't have to be as intimidating as it sounds. You could use one of Shopify's free themes, and you can follow along with our video tutorial on How To Start a Shopify Store

With all that said, how are sales doing? This could be a good opportunity to re-appraise your content strategy, and consider your website UX design
