Dynamic Sources (Products/Collections ) in Blog posts?

Looking to add a "featured product" or "featured collection" in my blog posts and wondering if anyone's already had much success?

Got a client using Impulse from Archetype and I'm planning to add these sections. I figured it would be pretty easy but seems there's an extra step or two.

I've currently set up some metafields but nothing is displaying - i.e. it's saying no dynamic sources - for the Featured Product/Collection sections.

Before I go digging into the Liquid, I'm wondering if anyone's done this/somehting similar and can share some insight?

I'm hoping I can make a slight tweak to the existing section rather than building a new one?

Essentially my goal will be:

• If clause to only show section when the metafield is set (easy enough)
• Pull collection / products directly from metafields

Anyone able to help?

@KwameAnd Have you had any success with this? I have spent a few hours looking for a solution to this as well. The same Section on a product page allows for a Dynamic Source, but in an article page it does not offer the Dynamice Source option.

No luck so far. Client changed their mind so we've stopped pursuing it for the time being, but I imagine we will look into it again in the near future as it seems like a very useful option to have!
