Great question! If you are using a Shopify hosted domain then you do have the option to set up forwarding emails that customers can use to mask your personal email address. If your domain is hosted through a third party, you would need to set up email hosting with your custom email address outside of Shopify. I can recommend Zoho Mail Email Hosting, they have a no strings free plan that offers custom domain emails as well.
