Hi all,

I hope you are doing well.

It has been a couple of days trying to solve the email forwarding issue with no success.

I created a email forwarding email for our new domain which forwards to a gmail account. I am only receiving personal emails in this account, if you send it from a company it doesn’t go through and it is not delivered. Quite strange.

I checked the forum and seems that happens to more people as well. I would like to fix it as soon as possible as we are just changing the name of our company and email is not working.

The new email forwarded domains are: hello@yamtemple.com and info@yamtemple.com and i am having issues on receiving them at yamtemple@gmail.com

I had already done the SPF records. Hopefully we can solve it, thank you so much in advance

@yammalabeads  There could be several reasons why this is happening, and several steps that you can take to try to fix the issue. Here are some potential solutions that you could try:

  1. Check the settings of your email forwarding in your domain provider's control panel. Make sure that the forwarding address is set up correctly and that there are no errors in the configuration.

  2. Check the SPF records for your domain. Make sure that the SPF records are set up correctly and that they include the appropriate IP addresses and domains for the servers that will be sending emails to your forwarded address. (I belive you already did this)

  3. Check the spam filters on your Gmail account. Make sure that the emails from your new domain are not being marked as spam and sent to the spam folder. You can check the spam folder and unmark any legitimate emails as "not spam" to prevent them from being marked as spam in the future.

  4. Check the reputation of your domain and the sender's IP address. If your domain or the sender's IP address has a poor reputation, emails from your domain may be more likely to be marked as spam. You can use a tool like MXToolBox to check the reputation of your domain and the sender's IP address, and take steps to improve the reputation if necessary.

Overall, there could be several reasons why your email forwarding is not working as expected, and several steps that you can take to try to fix the issue. By checking the settings of your email forwarding, the SPF records for your domain, the spam filters on your Gmail account, and the reputation of your domain and sender's IP address, you should be able to identify the cause of the issue and take steps to resolve it.

Hi SaasEnthu!

Thank you so much for your time and help. I had tried the first 3 options already but I didnt have idea about the 4th one. So I tried through the MXToolBox and it says there is a mistake on DMS. Not sure what this means so I contacted Shopify support again and appears that everything is alright, although I am unable to receive message from another email if it is not a (gmail..hotmail…account). If you someone can help me further with the meaning of this or any other causes why our account on GMAIL is receiving only certain emails and for example the ones from Mailchimp… Flodesk… are not being received.

Thank you!
