Email WITH PDF-file attachment to customer

Hi,

I need to send emails to customers with pdf-file attachment.

I was wondering how? It seems there is no option to send messages to customers. Text only. Is there any workaround?

Hi @usx!

You can opt to send PDF style email attachments to your customers using our very own free app Digital Downloads - explore more here. The file is set up like a product, but you can assign a price of $0 to it, and customers will be required to enter their email address at checkout before receiving the PDF attachment. 

Alternatively, if you are using an email marketing service, you can set up an automated email that goes out to your customer dependent on specific rules. We have many of those types of apps listed here if you wanted to have a look.

Apparently people don't read questions properly.  I also have this same problem and I can't find a solution assuming there is one.

This is in every basic email application so not having the ability to attach files in an email is dumb Shopify!

Exactly, mate. It is absolutely retarded, that there´s no simple attachment function.. For what damn reason?..

@Shopify  i too need the same function. again another basic function missing. (similar to not being able to configure box sizes for shipping different sizes of boxes with calculated shipping)
