I am getting a booth at a consignment location to sell me products. The owner has requested employee access to my website so that she can do sales through that and I would receive payment instantly vs waiting for payout.
I have created a second location and added inventory to that location.
I’m not sure how to give her access to make sales only at the 1 location. I do not want her to have access to anything other than the product that is at that location. How do I do this?
Shopify permissions are NOT this granular to the product level.
Possibly use draft-orders permissions..but then they may also need order perms as well.
You would either need to use shopify POS with them as staff.
Or make a tool/dashboard such as through retool, or some automation with google sheets/forms.
Or find a suitable multiseller/multivendor app.
Or setup a second shopify store , then find a data sync app if needing live data sync to the main store of product inventory/order etc .
Try to negotiate a multistore rate with support before opening multiple things on a service.
No matter what you do you need to test this as if you were the third party BEFORE the day of the event, twice.

Is this so they can adjust inventory or other.
If your website is public what benefit is there for them to have access to the backend.
If they use the backend to place an order the payment is still processed through shopify if they use a shopify order-invoice to checkout.
