Entering price amount with multiple decimal points

My store has all variant pricing set as pre-tax (All prices includes tax is unchecked).

I have a product that should be listed as £500.00 so the pre-tax amount would be £416.6666667 (20% VAT).

Once added to Shopify the price is automatically rounded to 2 decimal point £416.67.

This is causing an issue as when 2 items are added to the basket the total amount calculated is £1,000.01 instead of £1,000.00.

Is there a way to solve this?
