Expression theme | change gift card image on email notification

Hi, 

I am trying to change gift card image on Expression theme email notifications. 

I used several suggestions from this article https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-discussions/modifying-the-email-image-my-customers-receive-w... but it didn't work at all. 

Can you please share the solution how to change/add gift card custom image on email notification?
