Facebook pixel Missing Purchase Value Parameter

Hi there,

We are using Shopify's Facebook app to integrate our pixel with Facebook for over an year now, it works great, however, for a few months now we are getting this error codes inside our Facebook events manager:
"Missing AddToCart Value Parameter" and "Missing Purchase Value Parameter"

We asked Shopify support what could be the reason for it and we got no help, we went to Facebook and we got no help, is anyone have any idea what's going on? This is really a pain, because we are getting now such absurd reports in our Facebook ads manager for conversion values of high numbers that doesn't match the store sales, or we see sales but the conversion value is 0.

Any help would be much appreciated.

hi, yes it does the tests, everything works fine. I had a successful ad for a few weeks and was getting pretty accurate information. But these errors appeared. And 14 acquisition events appeared in facebook ads manager, which are not my shopify store

Hi there I am getting the same error from Facebook, that my purchase currency paramaeter is missing. I was able to fix it for the "AddtoChart" Event but I dont event find the "Purchase" event in my code, could you help me?

I tried all the options (free) and supports that I was able to find online and nobody was able to help me.

After a bit more than 2 months, I no longer detect the issue. It looks like there was a bug on facebook or shopify side and they managed to fix it.

One or more of your AddToCart events is missing a value parameter. This may affect your ability to see return on ad spend calculations.
2 Solution: Check source code
Open your website's source code. Locate the AddToCart event(s) and update the event code snippet. The value field must contain a decimal number greater than zero, and may not include letters, special characters, currency symbols or commas.
