I am unable to log in to my Shopify account as my phone is not receiving the authentication code (it is not a phone problem as I'm receiving codes from other providers). When I select to log in using a recovery code it is telling me my codes are invalid or have expired (even though I have never used them before) and in order to receive new ones I have to log in which I am unable to do due to not receiving the authentication code on my phone. And the option to use an alternative method to log in is unavailable. I have had to create a new account just to be able to log in and reach out for some assistance.

Please advise as I urgently need to access my store.

To set some expectations for you here, we're unable to authenticate users in the Community, so we can't take actions against specific accounts based on conversations had here, nor can we discuss any account specific information.

 

In situations like this where you're unable to login to your account due to 2FA issues, we're going to need to speak to you via our Authenticated Support Team, so they can escalate a request to our Internal Team to help you get access again. You'll want to use this link to access our Help Center. From there, let our AI Chat Assistant know that you're unable to login to your account for 2FA reasons. It will show you an option to contact 'Account Support'. If an error page loads, quickly refresh the page and then try again.

We are aware of some issues folks are having trying to chat in to our Teams currently while not logged in. We're working on a fix, but you may experience a message saying 'use a different contact method.' As we don't currently have other methods of contact available, please let me know here if you experience the issue, and I'll follow up with you to let you know once things have been resolved so you can try again.
