I'm having a huge issue with fake/bogus purchase events being fired on my pages. I had 7 today all from the browser and as you can see on the photo I provided with the red line on the left, purchase events are being fired from the product page. Are there any solutions to this? Is this a competitor or is this something in my code that is ruining everything. Would be happy to pay someone to go into my code and fix this if that's the case as it's an inconvenience for me and potentially could drive me out of business.
Thank you to anyone who is reading this - even a rough idea or any input from any user would be a help.
Same problem here!! My traffic source is Brazil!!
It stars 17 or 18 October!!
Hy!! i am having the exact same problem! Brazil it's my biggest audience!
I was using trackify. Uninstalled thinking that would be it! But it wasn't...I installed a new pixel...but keeps giving the same problem all the time!! Now I'm going to try making ads on another ads account. It's surprising how a year after this post was made the problem still happens and there isn't much information about it on the internet! In my case these fake purchases are more than 3 of the real sales!!
I wasn't so lucky! Facebook answer:
We have received a response from our Internal Team regarding on the issue and as per checking, they can see the events on the Pixel have been setup through Partner Integration. Please be advised, we are unable to comment on the correctness of the code that has been implemented through third party integration.
So, i pay for bot traffic...and they say that the problem is the integration that was made using the facebook/shopify wizard!! the integration always worked well!! It just crashed the day they sent me junk traffic!
Believe it or not, the person spamming my Pixel was from Brazil... It's a person doing it or a bot of some sort. It's not spam or a glitch, someone is actually spamming code into your pixel.
it seems like everybody is having the same issue. so it can not be a person doing it. it must be a configuration issue
Not a configuration issue. It's someone manually firing the events.
It is not a configuration issue for sure!! It is someone or something making this fires. I had made a custom event. I had less of this fake purchase per day after making this. But still there. See the video to learn how to do it:
I can solve your issue . if you still face this issue you can tell me
What is your solution.
I have a solution for this fake purchase , after doing it no one can send fake purchase
